Making money with Linkbucks.com
LinkBucks is an interesting advertising network. They are different from other ad networks because you don’t place the ads on you own site - the ads are displayed after an outgoing link is clicked. There are two options for displaying ads, intermission links, and top banner links. An intermission link will display an ad before the user gets to see the linked site. The intermission ad stays up for 15 seconds or until the user clicks a “continue” button. Top banner links display a banner ad in a frame above the site being linked to. Their referral program will allow you to register all of your members as referrals, thereby giving you 10% of all their earnings as well as 5% of the earnings from the people they send in.
How I personally make money with LinkBucks:
You can use Linkbucks in conjunction with shareapic.net or any other “pay” picture hosting site. You can make all the thumbnails of pictures a "linkbucks link" so that when a user clicks on the thumbnail, you will actually get paid twice. (once for linkbucks, and once for shareapic/other paid image hosting site) If you have a blog that features thumbnails of pictures hosted on another site, adding a linkbucks “top banner” ad would result in the user seeing a linkbucks ad at the top of the image-hosting page. Even I will admit that using linkbucks is only slightly more "ethical" then subjecting your users to pop up ads, but the decision to use linkbucks is a choice that every blog owner has to make on their own.
